The Internet of Water (IoW) is a project currently housed at Duke University’s Nicholas Institute for Environmental Policy Solutions, managed by a small startup team and supported by grants from several philanthropic organizations. By 2021, the IoW project aims to be a self-sustaining network managed by an independent organization.

Jersey Water Works hosted a webinar on November 15th, 2019, on permanent solutions for eliminating lead in drinking water in New Jersey. Recommendations include a coordinated state campaign to remove all lead service lines in New Jersey. Speakers include former NJDEP Commissioner Chris Daggett, Mike Furrey from the American Water Works Association, as well as Chris Sturm and Gary Brune from New Jersey Future.

Using information taken from a survey of water system stakeholders, this webinar will outline the barriers that have prevented the growth of these systems and offer concrete solutions to these challenges. Special focus will be taken on making the business case for onsite systems.
