Working Group Overview
The Pontchartrain Basin Working Group (PBWG) is a regional collaboration founded in 2024 through the Southwest Environmental Finance Center’s (SW EFC) Water, Wastewater, and Stormwater Assistance Program. The SW EFC, Pontchartrain Conservancy, The Water Collaborative, Moonshot Missions, and WaterNow Alliance are the working group founding members.
Our shared mission is to bolster community resilience across the Pontchartrain Basin by making it easier for local water leaders and stakeholders to access the information, resources, and funding needed to plan and implement sustainable water infrastructure projects. This blog post provides additional background on the working group and our current focus areas.
